The Enchanted Castle

The Enchanted Castle provides a non-threatening, entertaining Halloween experience for young children with their parents. It includes six colorful storybook themed rooms, each with friendly costumed characters. They will interact with the characters and receive a treat. The theme rooms include Cinderella, The Wizard of Ox, Beauty and the Beast, The little Mermaid, Under the Sea and Pirates of the Caribbean. 100% of the proceeds will go to the " Fit Kid" a Pediatric Obesity Program program at the Ahlbin Center.

Halloween House Decorating

Dec out a fresh baked, fully assembled “Haunted House” shaped cookie houses made by Great Cakes. With all the ghostly frosting and spooky treats you will need to make a unique creation. Then bring it home for all to enjoy. Prizes for the most “BOO-TIFUL” and the “SPOOKIEST” House!
Each house is $24.95 and must be pre-ordered and prepaid. Call (203) 254-3254 to reserve your spot. Maximum is 14 decorators at one time.

Halloween Spectacular

Children march up Main Street, trick or treating along the way, eventually making their way to Town Hall for more treats. Afterwards, a gathering on the Green will take place with fun-filled entertainment from DJ’s Music Mania and lots of cookies and juice. Don’t let the rain scare you… the parade might be canceled, but the entertainment will move to the Town Hall Auditorium.
Trick or Treating begins in front of the YMCA at 59 Post Road East in Westport.

DCA’S 17th Annual Halloween Parade

Bring your costumed toddler trick or treating at the doors of local merchants along the way to Tilley Pond, where magician Amazing Andy will perform. Don't forget your goody bag!
Meet at the Darien Fire Department Parking Lot at 848 Post Road in Darien.

Calling all ghosts and goblins! Come and spend a truly fun and frightful evening at the Zoo. Take the "Fairy Tales Gone Wrong" Hayride, and visit the Haunted Farmyard, Biohazard Greenhouse and take in the Magic Show by Jim Sisti. Tickets also include face painting, and candy!
Admission is $8/person. Recommended for children ages 6-12, however, some of the "scarier" activities of the evening may be better suited for children ages 8 and up.

Sculpt a Jack-O-Lantern

Make a jack-o-lantern you can bring out for many Halloweens to come in this one day workshop for ages 5 and up.

Howl & Prowl

Pet parents, animals and spectators will participate in this costume parade event to raise funds for Adopt- A-Dog, as part of celebrating the 30 Years in 30 Days campaign. In addition to the parade, this event includes prizes, exhibits, food, treats, an auction and raffle.

Pumpkin Parade + Trick-or-Treating

Masked revelers unite: Need somewhere safe and well lit to take your little pumpkin to snag a respectable haul on All Hallow’s Eve? This annual community event celebrates creativity and imagination. Channel your inner princess, monster or ghost and have some frightful fun in Wilton’s downtown. Admire the scarecrows displayed on Wilton Center lampposts as you collect your Halloween goodies from Wilton Center shops.

The 3rd Annual Halloween Pet Parade

Dress up your pooch and join the fun. Blue ribbons awarded for best costume. Your pet will love the animal treats from Earth Animal, too.

Monster Mash: Pirates

Kids build their own ghost ship and sail it through the treacherous waters in the Museum's Energy Lab — where they'd better stay clear of Davy Jones' Locker. Next, play pirate games, create mermaid and shark puppets and dance to the sounds of Rolie Polie Guacamole from Brooklyn, NY in the Multimedia Gallery.
Admission $10/member, $12/non-member and children under 1 year are free.

Fright Night

Drop off the kids (grades 3-5) for haunted activities and frightful (and not so frightful) storytelling. Those who were present last year are still talking about the ghost dog who frequents the Farm! Creepy sights and mysterious sounds abound when the moon rises at Ambler Farm. Refreshments included.

Trick or Treat on the Heckscher Farm

Don your Halloween costume and head up to Heckscher Farm to trick or treat with your favorite farm friends! Grab a map and head off in search of different "treats" at the trick or treating stations around Heckscher Farm. See what Dakota the Clydesdale, Big Sis the pig, and Packman the goat have to offer. Then, stop by Overbrook for "Ick-Fest" and get slimy with our slime table, visit live reptiles and bugs, and create crafts around some of our favorite Halloween critters. Don't forget your treat bag!
