It didn’t take long for Shoshana Carter and David Snyder to fall for each another. After a mutual friend introduced the two at Syracuse University, the connection was instant. They met each other’s family within the month.
During one of the couple’s routine homemade pizza and DVR nights, Dave added a suprise by getting down on one knee and proposing.
At St. Luke’s Parish in Westport, Father Renee officiated at the ceremony. Following the vows, a big celebration was held at Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien. To remember when they first met, the couple chose Usher’s song “Yeah” to accompany their introduction for the first time as a married couple at the reception. Family and friends danced the night away with the newlyweds.
The bride is the daughter of Marianne Carter of Manlius, New York. Shoshana is a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication and rhetorical studies from Syracuse University. She is a Realtor for Century 21 Richter Real Estate in Fairfield.
David is the son of Diane and Raymond Snyder of Brewster. Before receiving his bachelor’s degree in golf course management from Rutgers University, David graduated from Brewster High School. He is assistant superintendent of Westchester Hills Golf Course in White Plains, New York.
Before returning to their home in Fairfield, the couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
