Fairfield's top spot for catching up and winding down

Artisan al Fresco

The warmer weather has me dreaming of dining outdoors, conversations over cocktails and lounging with friends on those balmy summer nights. The perfect place for catching up and winding down is the garden terrace at Artisan at the Delamar Hotel. The outdoor lounge area offers a relaxed atmosphere with its understated wicker furniture and oversized pots filled with fresh herbs. The patio area offers full bar service and dinner menus from both the Tavern and main dining room. It’s perfect for a quiet date night for two or can accomodate up to 100 guests for special occasions.

This time of year also has me craving a classic summer dish — lobster rolls. Chef Kieffer’s contemporary approach to this New England favorite are his mini lobster rolls served on brioche buns with a side of cole slaw. You can taste the butter and sage as the chunks of fresh lobster melt in your mouth. The cole slaw is the perfect accompaniment and the flavor of fennel makes it truely unique.

The beautiful decor, intimate atmosphere and amazing dishes will keep Artisan on my “hot list” all summer long.
