Before guests of the Center for HOPE Annual Luncheon are treated to a special keynote address by award-winning journalist, film maker and health advocate Perri Peltz on Monday, May 20, they will have the opportunity to peruse a wide array of exciting silent auction and raffle items. The event, which is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Center for HOPE, begins at 11:00 a.m. at Woodway Country Club in Darien.
In addition to featuring renowned speakers that identify with the Center for HOPE’s mission of providing support and counseling to those coping with life-altering circumstances, the Annual Luncheon boasts one of the area’s most attractive silent auctions and raffles. With exotic getaways, beautiful jewelry and gourmet dinner parties all up for grabs, this year’s lot is sure to please.
Silent auction items include: seven day/six night stay in an exclusive Aspen, CO townhouse, seven day/six night stay in a luxury Delray Beach, FL home, four night stay at Tucker’s Point Hotel and Spa in Bermuda, diamond and sapphire earrings from Betteridge Jewelers, a dinner party for twenty from Chef Nisa Lee, two night stay at the Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, FL, a portrait sitting by renowned photographer Ben Larrabee.
Raffle items include: the use of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage for a weekend, golf threesomes at exclusive clubs, autographed Mark Texieria and Eli Manning memorabilia, Dooney & Bourke handbags, a host of specially packaged gift baskets and much more. Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the event.
The 2013 Center for HOPE Luncheon is co-chaired by Jan Dilenscheider of Darien and Greenwich residents Pam Caffray and Susan Yonce. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids, Family Centers’ programs offering counseling and support to residents of lower Fairfield County coping with a loss, a critical illness or life-altering circumstance.
