Winning Work

Doyle Herman Design Associates has won the 2016 Stanford White Award for Landscape Design, which is presented by the New York Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) for achievement of excellence in classical and new traditional landscape design. The winning project is the site of the original Pepperidge Farm, named for the magnificent pepperidge tree that still exists today. The entirely new landscape respects the original intentions of the property and includes a gamecock house re-visioned as a dining pavilion, a new pool, greenhouse, orchard and meadow, 114 feet of double herbaceous borders with perennials placed in tonal groupings and, planted on the site of the original vegetable garden, a new garden that has also been put back into production.
