Byron and Courtney’s stars almost did not align. Although they both attended Boston College and had many friends in common, they didn’t meet until the final semester of their senior year. But following that lucky day, Byron changed his spring break plans to be with Courtney and they soon became official. After college, they moved to Manhattan.
The couple dated for six years, until they got engaged while on a trip to Iceland. Byron proposed at the isolated and stunningly beautiful Hotel Budir in western Iceland amidst mountains, the ocean and waterfalls.
Father Joaquin Perez officiated at the ceremony at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, where the reception followed.
The bride, daughter of Terry and Cecile Marks of Atlanta, graduated from Marist High School and Boston College. Courtney works for Universal Music Group in Santa Monica
The groom, son of Robert and Judy Jamieson of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School and Boston College. Byron works for Omnia Media in Culver City.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. They live in Los Angeles.
