Amongst the hectic online dating scene, Shari and Ken found in each other, a perfect match. For their first date on New Year’s Day, Ken asked Shari to bring him to her favorite spot—the tip of the jetty at Compo Beach. Months later, as the sun set, Ken proposed to Shari at the same spot. A young musician serenaded the couple on her ukulele, while onlookers gathered and congratulated the couple on their engagement. Judge Victor Grossman officiated at the wedding ceremony at The Inn at Longshore, where a reception followed. Shari and Ken’s children served as the bridal party and participated in the blessings and toasts.
Shari is the daughter of Harriet Fox of Dedham, Massachusetts, and the late Maynard Lebowitz. She graduated from the University of Michigan and earned her associate’s degree from Parsons. She is the owner of Bespoke Designs, a stationery and custom-print studio in Westport. Ken is the son of Sam Novenstern of Port Chester, New York, and the late Helen Novenstern.
