Wakefield Design Center is celebrating twenty years of success. Founder George Snead has expanded the center from a fabric-centric showroom to a 10,000-square-foot premier to-the-trade showroom “curated by designers for designers.” The center boasts two floors showcasing hundreds of home furnishings (fabrics, furniture, accessories, art and lighting) to bring designers’ visions to life.

To thank all of their partners and vendors for providing inspiration and beautiful products for the past two decades, Wakefield is hosting a special event at the end of November. This occasion will be celebrated in coordination with twenty of the center’s top vendors with striking vignettes utilizing their latest products. Participating vendors include Currey & Company, Adriana Hoyos, Made Goods, Vanguard, Theodore Alexander, Noir Trading, Mr. Brown, Jessica Charles, Lee Industries, Hickory Chair, FlowDécor, Chaddock, Carver’s Guild, Abner Henry and Stanford Furniture.

During this celebratory evening, Wakefield will also unveil its new Custom Atelier. This new venture allows designers to conceive of completely original designs and then construct unique spaces with their own spin and build to their own specifications. This area will include case goods, upholstery, mirrors, fabric-wrapped furnishings, metalwork and more. Some of the brands offering this custom service through the Custom Atelier are Taracea, Robert James Collection, Abner Henry, Scott Thomas and Creative Metal & Wood. All designers and trade in the area are invited to the celebratory event on November 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. 652 Glenbrook Road, Stamford; 203-358-0818; wakefielddesigncenter.com
