Staying Active

Connecticut-based Cannondale is hoping that you’re staying safe and healthy. That why they announced some news about how it is trying to help the local community stay active, healthy, and positive during this time. Starting today, March 20, Cannondale is offering bikes to locals who need them. The “Borrow a Bike” program will let members of the local community borrow a bike from Cannondale to get some fresh air and take time for self-care. The program will connect riders with a Cannondale team member who will help them find a bike and schedule a personal pick up time. Founded in a workshop in Connecticut in 1971, Cannondale has remained a local company even as they grew to be one of the largest bicycle brands in the world. Spread the word to those who may need a boost in their mood and another way to stay active in a time of uncertainty. Interested people can message Cannondale Bikes on their Facebook Page mentioning the Borrow a Bike program, and Cannondale will then coordinate directly on when they can pick up their bike. Bikes can be picked up from Cannondale HQ (761 Main Avenue, Norwalk).

Update 3/24/20: Close to 100 bike requests came in for this program; go online to see status of program.
