Handwright Gallery Annual Holiday Show
Handwright Gallery is exhibiting local and regional award winning fine artists in their end of year Holiday Show. Running the gamut from abstraction to photorealism, traditional sill life to landscapes, the exhibit, curated by Handwright's owner, has something for all homes and tastes. Show runs Nov. 15th - Dec. 30th with Opening Reception Thursday November 15th. Great Trains Holiday Exhibit
The much anticipated Great Trains Holiday Exhibit at the Wilton Historical Society opens the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 23, with Santa visiting on December 8! Decorated for the holidays, the Society’s historic 18th and 19th century buildings are transformed into a train-lover’s delight, with multiple train layouts in different gauges winding through tiny towns featuring many different kinds of buildings, tunnels, and two working Ferris wheels! The interactive display enchants visitors of all ages with lots of buttons to push and knowledgeable “train engineers” on hand to “talk trains”. Members free, Non-member adults $10/ kids $5.

Santa and his LIVE reindeer - Dancer, Dasher and Prancer - are coming back for the 10th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Village and return to “the North Pole on North Street” Where: Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses, 437 North Street, Greenwich, Connecticut When: November 23 to December 24, 2018. The cherished town tradition continues for the tenth consecutive year at this expansive nursery where visitors can have their photo taken with Santa, meet the reindeer and also enjoy the new Santa’s Village, North Pole on North Street, all just minutes from downtown Greenwich. Parking is free. Throughout the five weeks, the reindeer will make Sam Bridge their home, thanks to Reindeer stable sponsor, Pepsi. Children, adults, corporate groups and even pets (on leashes) can have their photo taken with Santa at Santa’s Workshop, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich. Photo packages begin at $29.99 and include a gift bag filled with promotions redeemable at participating Greenwich stores. Play With Your Food brings great theater to your backyard! The curtain goes up on the 2019 season on January 8 & 9 in Westport (Toquet Hall); January 15th, in Fairfield (Fairfield Theatre Company); and January 16 & 17 in Greenwich (Greenwich Arts Council). The program includes three provocative (and often humorous!) one-act play readings performed by professional actors--many of whom are well known from Broadway, film and TV. January plays include the recent off-Broadway hit “Tiny Beautiful Things” by Nia Vardalos and “Looking for Chinatown” by Tony-Award winner David Henry Hwang. The starting time is 12pm, with a delicious lunch catered by a popular local restaurant. At 12:30pm, the playreadings begin. The wrap-up includes a talkback with the cast and director.
