New Canaan Country School to Host “Deal Days” Community Tag Sale


New Canaan Country School will host its 10th annual Deal Days tag sale on Saturday, April 22. This event is open to the public and offers thousands of items at great value prices including: antiques, art, furniture, clothing, baby gear, collectibles, household accessories, sporting goods, toys, outdoor and garden gear, vehicles, musical instruments and more.
Early-bird 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 – $10


Discovery Fair


The Discovery Fair is a hands-on exploration of scientific and artistic principles designed specifically for toddlers, pre-schoolers and their parents. Activity stations will include: paper-making, paint mixology, clay & wire, transparent collage, catching tadpoles, obstacle course, wood sculptures, wind tunnel, ramps and sensory tables.


“An Inverception” Site-specific installation by Jaq Belcher


Heather Gaudio Fine Art is pleased to announce “An Inverception,” a site-specific installation created by roster artist Jaq Belcher. This is the first time the gallery will dedicate its entire space to one artist who will create a work designed specifically for its location. Belcher will commence preparing the installation on March 29th and it will be on view through April 15th.


Frances Ashforth’s Exhibition “WATER + WORDS and Water” To Open at New Canaan Library’s Curtis Gallery


Water is the star of artist Frances Ashforth’s striking monotypes, whether it is the presence or absence of it. Many of Ashforth’s stunning monotypes present waterscapes where the water, rendered in beautiful simplicity, is clearly the subject. Her compelling exhibition “WATER + WORDS and Water” opens on Thursday, March 30 and runs through Sunday, May 21. Opening reception on March 30, 6 pm.


A Night in Saint Barths


The New Canaan YMCA will be hosting its first gala fundraiser in over 12 years to celebrate its 63 years of service to the community, as well as its soon-to-be-completed renovated facility. On April 29, the lawn behind Waveny Mansion will be elegantly tented and transformed into a chic Saint Barths setting. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, and dancing, while supporting the New Canaan YMCA.
